Tonquin Valley Wildlife Trip, Sept 19-21, 2015

posted Sep 4, 2015, 12:36 PM by Dana Harper
Caribou have been the focus of recent park policies, including winter closures of areas containing key caribou habitat. One area receiving attention is the Tonquin Valley, known to house several key species. The ACC has invited an interpreter from the Foothills Research Institute to the Wates-Gibson hut in the Tonquin Valley on September 19 to 21 to discuss the habitat requirements and ongoing issues and concerns with this species in the area. Time will also be spent glassing for sightings.
