May Monthly Meeting - TUESDAY MAY 23RD @ 7pm-9pm

From Bushwhacking to Book Writing
An Evening with Ben and Eric of "A Peakbagger's Guide to the Canadian Rockies: North"

Ben and Eric will share some slides of interesting and amusing moments from trips in the book and share some tidbits of extra info. Their book will hopefully be just hot off the press and available for purchase (and autographs) too!

"Ben Nearingburg is an instructor, author, and guide who often roams the hills of the Canadian Rockies and Columbia Ranges.  Ben hopes his passion for the hills, both on and off the written page, helps others to experience and respect the rugged splendor of the natural world."

"Eric Coulthard is a computer scientist. He is the founder and developer of Many of his top treks are exploratory jaunts with little or no beta. His passion for exploration began in the Edmonton section."

Our April 26th edition of the Breeze will have a Q&A with Ben and Eric in it - make sure to check your inboxes!

Meeting Location

All monthly meetings for the Section will occur at the Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre (8426 Gateway Boulevard). See the below map for details.

June Monthly Meeting - Tuesday June 20th @ 6pm-9pm

Join us for our Summer BBQ at William Hawrelak Park SITE #2  - 9330 Groat Road, Edmonton, AB T6G-2A8

This is our annual social event for the club. Come out and enjoy the beautiful weather (we have indoor if the definition of beautiful has been stretched too far)!

Meet fellow members, enjoy a fabulous meal, play some games and have some ice cold beverages! More details to come closer to the event!

One of the super amazing things we will be doing at the BBQ is presenting several section members with awards they have received - please come out to congratulate these outstanding volunteers for all of their hard work and dedication to the ACC Edmonton Section.

There will be fun games to play - including a slack line!

Our annual BBQ is a family friendly event - a great opportunity to meet other families that enjoy the mountains!

As this is at a city park - no alcohol will be served.

Tickets for the event will be available shortly! There will be vegan, gluten free, gluten free vegan and kosher meal options as well as plenty for the omnivore too!
